Pinch clamp for the perfect C-curve in your nail design
"New Style Nails" are all the rage. This style gives the artificial fingernail a pronounced C-curve, making it appear significantly narrower. To achieve this pronounced curve, the nail is often shaped using a pinch clamp. The pinch technique only works with a new set of gel, acrylic, or poly-gel applied over a form. With nail tips, however, only soft and flexible artificial nails can be pinched.
Characteristics:
Pinch clamp application:
- Prepare the natural nail as usual and apply an extension template accordingly.
- Create a thin nail extension using a builder gel and cure it briefly in a UV/LED lamp so that the gel is still malleable.
- Depending on the gel manufacturer, this usually takes about 10-20 seconds with LED and 20-30 seconds with UV.
- Press the extension with a Pinch tweezers Hold together for about 5 seconds before attaching the pinch clamp from above at fingertip level.
- Secure these as firmly as possible to achieve a nice curve.
- Finally, this process is allowed to fully cure.
- Remove the clamp and the template.
- Then begin your nail structure.
As an alternative to this clamp, there is also the Pinch brace.
